The 2017 Lighthouse E-volution Awards<\/strong> were held at the Banquet Hall of the Athens Concert Hall<\/strong> to reward the best practices of electronic commerce and business<\/strong> of the year. The nominees exceeded expectations and so did the 550 e-commerce professionals who attended<\/strong> the ceremony. This year\u2019s awards were hosted by Panagiotis Chatzidakis<\/strong> who dazzled the audience with his unique style and humor.<\/p>\n

Amongst the amazing works presented, Incredible Crete<\/strong> has managed to win the votes of the jury with the new touristic portal for the island of Crete<\/strong> designed and developed by Mozaik Hospitality<\/strong> and receive the Gold Award<\/strong> for Design & Aesthetics.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The brand new portal for the island of Crete is much more than an island travel guide<\/strong>. It is a comprehensive destination management system<\/strong> through which users and potential visitors can enjoy a 360\u1d52 real life experience<\/strong>. By following a destination development strategy, the content of the website was enhanced and divided into 12 thematic sections reflecting the core values of the island<\/strong>. A different navigation approach was adopted so as to allow users browse through pages according to their preferences, their place of interest or time. Users can also pick the sites, restaurants, beaches and activities of their choice<\/strong> and list under \u201cfavorites\u201d so as to easily gather their interest points to view later or share them with friends. A major innovation of the website was the real-time social media feed<\/strong> enabling travelers to display real-time experiences in combination to the option of writing reviews and post their likes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
